CHAPTER 331

Present: Bob & Linda Aughenbaugh, Cliff & Marie Bailey, Joe Brown, Kay Monter, Chuck Haby, John & Sue Klimo, Rodney Lawrence, Jack Neely, Ray & Becky Pittman, Jack & Judi Steinbrink, Susie Sutton, Bob & Shari Tuttle, Ken & Jan Urbanek

Guests: J. Fogle, Chuck & Linda Cooper, & Chloe

President Tuttle called the meeting to order by welcoming all in attendance followed by introductions of guests and visitors.

President Tuttle reported the following upcoming events:

  • Star Days to be held in Reno/Sparks NV. On July 17-20 at the Nuget Hotel. Registration to begin on February 1, 2012.
  • lX Center Motorcycle Show in Cleveland on January 27, 28, 29. Passed out coupons to obtain a $4.00 savings on admission.
  • Mid-Atlantic STAR-B-QUE will be August 10-12 hosted by Cleveland Chapter 178 at the Holiday Inn,Rockside Road in Independence Ohio. Encouraged attendance to show Cleveland our support.

President Tuttle then passed out the following Rockers:

  • Past Officer-Road Captain……….Bob Frankish ( to be presented at a later date)

Shari Tuttle gave Treasurers report: $129.31 in Petty Cash, $44.49 in Checking for total of $173.80

Future Ride Reports:

  • Jack Steinbrink presented a Memorial Day Weekend Ride to WashingtonD.C. for 25th year for Rolling Thunder. Maryland Chapter to have a meet and greet Picnic, and a Ride for those interested. Jack and Judi planning a side trip to Monticello (Thomas Jefferson’s Home).
  • Ray Pittman reported some changes as far as STAR for Rolling Thunder this year. Has potential of becoming a BIG event for STAR

Ray Pittman presented “CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS” Old unused cell phones can be recycled and create funds for soldiers to call families while in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, as well as other countries and aboard ships. Ray will be collecting cell phones for anyone wanting to support the program.

Group discussion regarding the location for the February meeting. It was decided to try Thano’s in Barberton.

President Tuttle presented Jack Steinbrink, Past President, a card and cash from members in appreciation of years of service to Chapter 331 as President.

President Tuttle reported on new and improved Web Site. Gallery of pictures added. Pay Pittman questioned the possibility of having a message board. Bob Tuttle will check into the possibility of adding this to the web site.

Sue Klimo read the charter.

Chapter applications, Waivers, and Dues were collected from all those present.

President Tuttle called the meeting to order by welcoming all in attendance followed by introductions of guests and visitors.

 

President Tuttle reported the following up coming events:

  • Star      Days to be held in Reno/Sparks NV. On July 17-20 at the Nuget Hotel.  Registration to began on February 1,      2012.

President Tuttle then passed out rocker:

  • Also      gave Bob a card of thanks and gift from the chapter for past years service      as Vice President.

 

Shari Tuttle gave Treasurers report: $235.43 in Petty Cash, $44.49 in Checking for total of $279.92.

 

Future Ride Reports:

  • Jack      Steinbrink presented a Memorial Day Weekend Ride to WashingtonD.C.     for 25th year for Rolling Thunder.  Maryland Chapter to have a meet and      greet, Picnic, and a Ride for those interested.  Jack and Judi planning a side trip toMonticello (Thomas      Jefferson’s Home).
  • Ghost      Riders Weekend August 3,4,5 &6.       This is a ride inVermont     with the Valley Forge Chapter 326.

Several phones were brought in today and Ray will continue to collect cell phones.

 

Group discussion regarding the need of a medical kit to take along on Chapter rides.  Dave Helscel has a kit and will inventory items. Then Dave will send e-mail for other needed items.  Medical kit will be funded by chapter funds.

Ray Pittman reported on the new forum.  He explained the need to identify yourselves so he can set up for access.

 

Sue Klimo reported she collected $80 dollars last meeting for the Boy Scouts.  Also, Boy

Scouts will be having a benefit Fish Fry at CopleyHigh   Schoolon March 16th and 30th.  Time is 4:30-7:30 and the cost is $9.00 for adults, $5.00 children 10 and under.  This event will be on the Web Site and Ray will put it on the Forum.

 

Ride Schedule:

  • April      7 and May 12 are Saturday rides.
  • June      10 chapter ride will be on Saturday so those who want to can do the Ride      for Kids

 

Discussion for March meeting, instead of bowling this year the chapter voted to go to Funny Stop to see Tammy Pescatelli on Friday March 3rd.

 

New Chapter 506 Upper Sandusky Charter meeting on April 14th at Thiels Wheels for anyone interested in attending.
